He has a strong background in leadership development, crises action planning, leadership in high-stress environments, moral and ethical decision making, executive personnel assessment and selection, strategy, coaching and counseling, and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

JC served in the U.S. Army as an infantry officer for 20 years, primarily in special operations and special missions units. He has been deployed in support of operations worldwide, with more than 11 combat tours, and has acted as a tactical, operational and strategic advisor to the command of U.S. forces in Baghdad, Iraq. Most recently he was selected to direct the Army’s schools on leadership development, resiliency, and fitness and to set future strategy for the Army of 2025 in these areas.
